The Foundation

Strong built, built on the Rock!

"Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste"

Matthew 7:24-27 "24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it"

Luke 6:46-49 "46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great"

The Rock is the Lord Jesus Christ; my Heavenly Father, God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth.

1 Corinthians 10:4 "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ"

1 Samuel 2:2 "None holy as the LORD: for none beside thee: neither any rock like our God"

Holy = sacred, holy, Holy One, saint, set apart

2 Samuel 22:47 "The LORD liveth; and blessed my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation"

Psalm 18:1-2 "1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.2 The LORD my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"

Psalm 18:31 "For who [is] God save the LORD? or who a rock save our God?"

Psalm 18:46 "The LORD liveth; and blessed my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted"

Psalm 31:1-3 "1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.3 For thou my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me"

Psalm 62:7 "In God my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, my refuge in God"

Luke 6:47 "
Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like"

LETS HEAR A SAYING:

Matthew 6:25-34 "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, not much more you, O ye of little faith?31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof"

Do you hear this saying? If you do, well just do it! For me (by God's grace) I have been doing it for many days; 30 years plus and it is all for God's Glory.

Don't worry, be content; trust in the Lord with all your heart! Live day by day! (impossible without the Spirit of Christ)

Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding"

Psalm 64:10 "The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory"

Job 5:17 "Behold, happy the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty"

Correcteth = to prove, decide, judge, rebuke, reprove, correct, be right. a) (Hiphil) 1) to decide, judge 2) to appoint 3) to show to be right, prove 4) to convince, convict 5) to reprove, chide 6) to correct, rebuke. b) (Hophal) to be chastened. c) (Niphal) to reason, reason together. d) (Hithp) to argue.

Chastening = 1) discipline, chastening, correction. a) discipline, correction b) chastening

Psalm 84:12 "Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee"

Jeremiah 17:7 "Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee"

LETS HEAR ANOTHER SAYING:

Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon"

Mammon = riches, treasures, wealth or money.

Luke 12:15 "And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth"

1 Timothy 6:8-12 "8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses"

Psalm 62:10 "Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart"

Oppression and robbery = to bring a lie (freewill of man doctrine) and sell the word of God (teach false doctrine = physical tithing).

Psalm 49:6-9 "6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;7 None can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:8 (For the redemption of their soul precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)9 That he still live for ever, [and] not see corruption"

Mark 10:23-24 "23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible"

1 Timothy 6:17-19 "17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they lay hold on eternal life"

LETS HEAR ONE MORE SAYING:

1 Timothy 1:15 "This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief"

Matthew 9:9-13 "9 And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.11 And when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?12 But when Jesus heard, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.13 But go ye and learn what meaneth: I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance"

Matthew 11:15-19 "15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children"

The Lord Jesus Christ is saving His elect/chosen people; sinners, chosen sinners, chosen by God from before the foundation of the world.

Psalm 69:29 "But I poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high"

Romans 7:24-25 "24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin"

Psalm 31:2 "Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me"

11-05-2017

Psalm 61:2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I"

Jeremiah 33:6Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth"
