God's sovereignty

Truth is stranger than fiction

Psalm 22:28 "For the kingdom is the Lord's; He is the governor among the nations"

Governor = To rule, have dominion, reign.

Psalm 66:7 "He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah"

Sovereign = noun 1) a monarch; a king, queen, or other supreme ruler.2) a person who has sovereign power or authority. adj. 1) having supreme rank, power, or authority. 2) supreme; preeminent; indisputable.3) being above all others in character, importance, excellence, etc.

Sovereignty of God = his absolute right to do all things according to his own good pleasure.

John 9:1-3 "1 And as [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man which was blind from birth.2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God be made manifest in him"

It was necessary that this man was born blind, it was God's will. The affairs of the whole world are necessary that they happen; God's perfect will must come to pass. The Lord Jesus Christ is working his plan of Salvation; his work of Redemption will be manifested in those whom He has chosen to bestow his grace and mercy. God's elect/chosen people just stand still and wait for his Salvation.

Exodus 14:13 "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever"

Moses is the picture of Christ and if you are one of his people you got to hear this: Fear ye not, stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you today. Today is the day of Salvation!

Are you trusting in Christ today? The Egyptians is the picture of this physical world that is ready to perish.

Lamentations 3:26  "good both: hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD"

Natural man hates the truth of God's sovereignty; religious man hates that God is in control of life, everybody's life. And this is the reason: I Corinthias 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know, because they are spiritually discerned."

But God's chosen people we rejoice in His truth, listen: Isaiah 64:8 "But now, O LORD, thou our father; we the clay, and thou our potter; and we all the work of thy hand"

Jeremiah 18:1-4 "The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying; Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter's house and behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make"

Romans 9:20-21 "Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?"

I see myself (by God's grace) as a vessel of honor in Jesus Christ and I just praise the Lord for it.

Romans 9:22-23 "What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: and the He make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory"

I pray you can discern the truth of God's sovereignty: Psalm 115:3 "But our God in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased"

Proverbs 16:4 "The LORD hath made all for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil"

Proverbs 16:9 "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps"

Proverbs 16:33 "The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof [is] of the LORD"

Jeremiah 10:23  "O LORD, I know that the way of man not in himself: not in man that walketh to direct his steps"

Everything that comes my way is God's plan, and I trust it is for my good.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to purpose"

It does not say all things are good, but "all things work together for good" The Lord Jesus Christ has given me His Salvation, that is the most precious thing I got, everything else is dying for me.

For this reason I love the Lord Jesus Christ: Jeremiah 31:3 "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee"

This, He spoke to my soul very early in my christian life, "He has loved me with everlasting love"

Now, lets see the sovereingty of the Lord Jesus Christ in the life of one of His chosen people (chosen vessel) and give glory to God for His infinite Grace and Mercy.

Acts 9:1-16  "And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven; and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord unto him: Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I Lord. And the Lord unto him: Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for called Saul of Tarsus: for behold, he prayeth and hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting hand on him, that he receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem and here, he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake"

Proverbs 20:24 Man's goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way?

I hope you are one of God's chosen vessel and for this truth we must suffer. Not that God is begging men to accept his Salvation, but He is clothing his people with Salvation.

Psalm 119:41 "VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, thy salvation, according to thy word"

There is a Salvation according to God's word (that is what I got) and there is a salvation according to man's word (which is no salvation) freewill of man doctrine. I give glory to God by declaring this glorious truth "God's sovereignty in Salvation" Freewill of man doctrine is a strong delusion sent by God to the vessels of dishonour fitted to destruction. The Wicked is the spirit of Satan in those who believe the freewill of man doctrine.

Freewill of man doctrine = a fiction, a fable, a falsehood, an invention [suggests a story invented and fashioned either to entertain or to deceive. Applies particularly to a false but carefully invented statement or series of statements, in which some truth is sometimes interwoven. Applies to a tale, idea, or statement often made up to explain, justify, or glorify oneself]

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 "7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth, until he be taken out of the way.8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they be saved.11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they believe a lie:12 That they all be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness"

Pleasure in unrighteousness = to teach man that it is in his/her power to save the soul.

Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created"

Psalm 115:1 "Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, for thy truth's sake"

BEHIND THE SCENES
1-15-2012

Psalm 135:5-6 "5 For I know that the Lord is great and our Lord above all gods. 6 Whatsoever the Lord pleased, did in heaven and in earth, in the seas and all deep places"

Genesis 15:12-14 "12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.13 And the Lord said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance"

Here, the Lord God is foretelling Abram the oppression of Israel in the land of Egypt; His plan is revealed to His chosen one.

Psalm 105:16-19 "16 Moreover God called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.17 He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant:18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him"

Behind-the-scene = 1) happening out of view of the public; done, held, or kept in secret. 2) designed and carried out secretly or confidentially.

Isaiah 14:24 and 27 "24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, shall it stand" "27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul [it]? and his hand stretched out, and who shall turn it back?"

Lets watch God's will: must read Genesis chapters 37, 39 thru 46:7

Genesis 37:23-28 "23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they striped Joseph out of his coat, coat of colours that on him;24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit empty, no water in it. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry [it] down to Egypt.26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he our brother, our flesh. And his brethren were content.28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt"

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Psalm 56:3 "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee" = The cry of the Spirit of Christ in Joseph.

Freewill of man doctrine teachers will say that Joseph's brethren were doing their own freewill; and without the Spirirt of Christ in man that is what religious/natural man will see.

Isaiah 46:8-11 "8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring again to mind, O ye transgressors.9 Remember the former things of old: for I God, and none else; God, and none like me,10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times that are not done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it"

Genesis 50:15-20 "15 And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we thy servants.19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for [am] I in the place of God?20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as this day, to save much people alive.21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them"

Joseph understood and trusted in God's sovereignty and only by the Spirit of Christ did he had faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Psalm 18:30-32 "30 God, his way [is] perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he [is] a buckler to all those that trust in him.31 For who [is] God save the LORD? or who [is] a rock save our God?32  God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect"

Exodus 1:6-14 "6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel more and mightier than we:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them up out of the land.11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, with rigour"

Psalm 105:23-25 "23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants"

Listen to verse 25 " He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants" The Lord is control of the heart of the Egyptians, His plan of Redemption is perfect. Praise the Lord!

Exodus 12:40-42 "40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt: four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. 42 A night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this [is] that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations"

God's will had come to pass according to His purpose!

Psalm 5:4-6 "4 For thou not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man"

It is wickedness to teach that man is in control of his destiny and making God Almighty a beggar, begging mankind to believe in Him. Freewill of man doctrine gives glory to the creature rather than to the Creator.

Ezekiel 18:23 and 30-32 "23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked die? saith the Lord GOD: [and] not that he return from his ways, and live?" "30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn, and live ye"

For the natural man these verses sound like God is begging, but not to His people: I see His Grace, for the turning of a sinner is all of the Lord and He does it by giving His chosen people a new heart to trust in Christ alone for the Salvation of the soul.

Ezekiel 11:19-21 "19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:20 That they walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.21 But whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD"

Ezekiel 36:26-28 "26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do.28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God"

Psalm 62:8 "Trust in him at all times; people, pour out your heart before him: God a refuge for us. Selah"

Proverb 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding"

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to purpose"

Joseph was given a new heart to trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the same today, those that are created in Christ a new heart is given to them to turn/look to the Lamb of God for forgiveness.

Psalm 102:16-18 "16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD"

Psalm 104:30-31 "30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.31 The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works"

Isaiah 43:5-8 "5 Fear not: for I with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; 7 every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears"

Isaiah 46:12-13 "12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that far from righteousness:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory"

1-9-2017.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

9-23-2017

Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

God has already prepared my life in eternity past for eternity future; but I must go through this present life trusting in my Lord Jesus Christ to get to His eternal glory. New heavens and new earth, and the former shall nor be remembered nor come into mind, no tears, no pain and no night!

I ascribe glory to the Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming God's sovereignty!

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

                        PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
