Psalm 2:4 "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision"
= to mock, deride, ridicule.
Today's meaning = 1) ridicule;
mockery 2) an object of ridicule.
40:17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
90:3 "Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return,
ye children of men"
Thou = God
Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked
Psalm 104:24-26 "24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou
made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.25 this great and wide sea, wherein things creeping innumerable, both small
and great beasts.26 There go the ships: that leviathan, thou hast made to play therein"
Lord has made leviathan (Satan) to play in the great and wide sea (the world)
Genesis 3:1-8 "1 Now the serpent was more subtil
than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat
of every tree of the garden?2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:3 But of
the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch
it, lest ye die.4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat
thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.6 And when the woman saw that the
tree good for food, and that it pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make wise, she took of the fruit thereof,
and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew
that they naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God
walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst
the trees of the garden"
Here, mankind was made servant of Satan; they disregard God's command. Mankind
was sold under sin. Man died spiritually.
Romans 7:14 "For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal,
sold under sin"
Mankind is not free; before God gave me life in Christ I did what my master
(Satan/sin) would have me to do, I was a slave; but I used to believe that I was free and my good works were enough to make
it to heaven (under the control of devils) I was deceived by my own heart.
sold = (Greek)
1) to sell a) of price, one into slavery b) of the master to whom one is sold as
2) metaph. a) sold under sin, entirely under the control of the love of
sinning b) of one bribed to give himself up wholly to another's will.
I am still
a sinner in the flesh, but I experience this truth everyday by God's grace: Romans 6:14 "For sin
shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace"
7:25 "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve
the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin"
This is all God's plan, now I am His prisoner!
Psalm 69:33 "For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners"
2 Timothy 1:8 "Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner:
but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God"
I am His servant!
31:16 "Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake"
Psalm 35:27 "Let them shout for joy and be glad that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually:
Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant" This
prosperity is spiritual.
1 Corinthians 7:22 "For he that is called in the
Lord a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called free, is Christ's servant"
Free from the power of Satan making me believe that
I had the control of my life and destiny.
I am His friend!
Matthew 11:19 "The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous,
and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children"
John 11:11 "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus
sleepeth; but I go that I awake him out of sleep"
Are you a Lazarus still asleep? I am a
Lazarus awaken by Christ.
John 15:13-17 :"13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down
his life for his friends.14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for
the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father
I have made known unto you.16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye go and bring forth fruit,
and your fruit remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he give it you.17 These things I command you,
that ye love one another"
I love God's people (I do know some of them) and I know this: they will come
to know and trust this truth: "Salvation is of the Lord" I am just humbled for doing the job of delivering His message.
His plan is at work
The mystery of iniquity revealed
2:7-12 "7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth until he be taken out of the way.8 And
then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness
of his coming:9 whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,10 And with all deceivableness
of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they be saved.11 And for this
cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they believe a lie:12 That they all be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness"
This Wicked one is the spirit of Satan in man; when
man believes he has control of life and salvation, Satan seats in the throne (the heart) as the Most High.
27:1 "In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan
the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that
[is] in the sea"
Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that
old serpent called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into
the earth and his angels were cast out with him"
Satan deceiveth mankind by teaching
the freewill of man doctrine and salvation by works. He comes as an angel of light, he knows the Word of God; but his nature
is to lie (twists the true)
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 "13 For such false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.16 Therefore,
no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their
Revelation 20:1-3 "1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless
pit and a great chain in his hand.2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound
him a thousand years,3 and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he deceive the
nations no more, till the thousand years be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season"
All I can say about this passage is that Satan is loosed teaching lies, making men believe that they are in control of life
and Salvation. I do not find people that understand and trust in God's sovereignty of life and Salvation. Satan is serving
God's purpose; through the deliverance of sinners from the power of Satan, chosen sinners see His glory and ascribe power
to the Most High God: Jesus Christ, the Savior.
Ezekiel 28:11-15 "11 Moreover the word of
the LORD came unto me, saying,12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every
precious stone thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire,
the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day
that thou wast created.14 Thou the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee: thou wast upon the holy mountain of
God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.15 Thou perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast
created, till iniquity was found in thee"
Job 4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly.
was imputed/charged unto Satan.
Impute = to think, plan, esteem, calculate, invent, make a judgment, imagine, count.
King of Tyrus is Lucifer; he deceives man (who has not received the Spirit of God) with the brilliance of religion (doings)
and teaching the commandments of man (physical commandments) Religious and natural man cannot overcome his power, unless God's
grace and mercy is bestowed in man (chosen of God).
Isaiah 14:12-15 "12 How art thou fallen
from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!13 For thou hast
said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount
of the congregation, in the sides of the north:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.15
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit"
31:11 "For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and
ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he"
Mark 3:27 "No man can enter into a strong
man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house"
TOTAL CONTROL OF CHRIST
Colossians 1:16-17 "16 For by him were all things created, that
are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist"
is the Lord Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.
Isaiah 45:5-7 "5 I the LORD, and none else, no God beside
me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:6 That they know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that none
beside me. I the LORD, and none else.7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do
all these "
Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou
hast created all things, and for
thy pleasure they are and were created"
God's plan revealed to His chosen
Romans 5:14 "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even
over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come"
"Adam is the figure of Him (Christ) that was to come" The plan is that the Lord Jesus Christ was to come to save
sinners (chosen by God from before the foundation of the world) so, in order to create sinners, Adam must fall. God used the
serpent to deceive the woman. Before the fall, it seems that man had a freewill; but the blueprint was already made and God's
plan was already at work.
Isaiah 14:24 and 27 "24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely
as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, shall it stand" "27 For the LORD of hosts
hath purposed, and who shall disannul? and his hand stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Isaiah 46:9-11 "9 Remember the former things of old: for I God, and none else; God, and
none like me,10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times that are not done, saying, My counsel shall stand,
and I will do all my pleasure:11 Calling a *ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country:
yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it"
bird = a bird of prey
God'select/chosen people = Eagles
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not,
neither is weary? No searching
of his understanding.29 He giveth
power to the faint; and to no might
he increaseth strength.30 Even the
youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not
be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Romans 9:19-23 "19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?20 Nay but,
O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?22
if God, willing to shew wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to
destruction:23 And that he make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory"
I just praise the Lord Jesus Christ for making me a vessel of honor and mercy, and how do I know
that I am a vessel of honor? Simple, (but impossible without the Holy Ghost) I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for the
Salvation of my soul.
Verse 19 "for who hath resisted His will?
Greek 1) to set one's self against, to withstand, resist, oppose 2) to set against.
Today's definition =1. To strive to fend off or offset the actions, effects, or force of.2.
To remain firm against the actions, effects, or force of; withstand.
Listen, only those whom God has chosen to
Salvation will come to understand His sovereignty; the Lord Jesus Christ will reveal Himself in His Word.
you a pearl: Psalm 49:1-3 "1 Hear this, all people; give ear, all inhabitants of the world:2 Both low and high, rich
and poor, together.3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart of understanding"
3 "my mouth speaks of Christ (wisdom) and the meditation of my heart of Christ (understanding)
"5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.6
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,7 Blessed they
whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.8 Blessed the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin"
(Hebrew) = 1) to put, place, set, appoint, make
Impute (Greek) = 1) to reckon, count, compute,
calculate, count over: a) to take into account, to make an account of 1) metaph. to pass to one's account,
to impute 2) a thing is reckoned as or to be something, i.e. as availing for or equivalent to something,
as having the like force and weight b) to number among, reckon with. c) to reckon or account.
32:1-2 "1 Blessed
is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.2 Blessed is the man unto whom
the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile"
54:15-17 "15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall
fall for thy sake.16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument
for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue
shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness
of me, saith the LORD"
I ascribe strength, power and honor to my Lord by declaring this truth.
Ascribe = 1) to give, provide, ascribe, come. 2) to put, set, put on, put upon,
set, appoint, assign, designate a) (Qal) 1) to give, bestow, grant, permit, ascribe, employ,
devote, consecrate, dedicate, pay wages, sell, exchange, lend, commit, entrust, give over, deliver up, yield produce, occasion,
produce, requite to, report, mention, utter, stretch out, extend.
Deuteronomy 32:1-3 "1 Give ear, O ye heavens,
and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as
the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:3 Because I will publish the name of the
LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God"
Psalm 68:32-34 "32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth;
O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens of old; lo, he doth send out his voice,
a mighty voice.34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency over Israel, and his strength in the clouds"
Zephaniah 3-12-13 "12 I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in
the name of the LORD.13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found
in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make afraid"
There are still people
that must come to know, understand, trust and rejoice in God's Salvation.
How do I see the love of God in His plan? God,
out sinners (who are nothing but worms) is creating people for Himself by grace and through faith with the mind of Christ.
Love for the Creator!
Romans 15:5-6 "5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to
be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:6 That ye *may with one mind, one mouth glorify God, even the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ"
*may = Greek verb "dozaxo" 1) to think, suppose,
be of opinion 2) to praise, extol, magnify, celebrate 3) to honour, do honour to, hold in
honour 4) to make glorious, adorn with lustre, clothe with splendour a) to impart glory
to something, render it excellent b) to make renowned, render illustrious1) to cause the
dignity and worth of some person or thing to become manifest and acknowledged.
1 Corinthians 1:10
"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the
same thing, and there be no divisions among you; but ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind
and in the same judgment"
Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye prove what that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God"
Corinthians 2:16 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he instruct him? But we
have the mind of Christ"
1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.2 Let us come before
his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.3 For the LORD a great God, and a great King
above all gods.4 In his hand the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills his also.5 The sea his and he made it:
and his hands formed the dry.6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.7 For he our God;
and we the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your heart, as in
the provocation, as the day of temptation in the wilderness:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.10
Forty years long was I grieved with generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known
my ways: 11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they not enter into my rest.
Has your soul entered into His rest?
Christ is my Rest.
PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
