Ephesians 4:4-6 "4 one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;5 One Lord, one faith,
one baptism,6 One God and Father of all, who above all, and through all, and in you all"
This "one
baptism" is the baptism with the Holy Ghost which God's elect or chosen people must go through. It occurs when the Lord
Jesus Christ brings Salvation (faith/trust) to our souls; we trust in the work of Christ on the cross for our sins, nothing
else.
Ephesians 1:13-14 "13 In whom ye also, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:
in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance
until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory"
Matthew 3:10-12 "10
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire.11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than
I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and fire:12 Whose fan [is] in his hand,
and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable
fire"
Chaff = Religious people without the Spirit of Christ
Mark 1:6-8 "6
And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;7
And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down
and unloose.8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost"
John 1:32-33
"32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.33 And I
knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending,
and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost"
Mark 16:14-16 "14 Afterward
he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they
believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"
1 Corinthians 12:12-13 "12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body,
being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles,
whether bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit"
Galatians 3:26-27 "26 For ye are
all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ"
These children are those who have received the gift of faith, which is given to those whom God has chosen from before the
foundation of the world.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves;
the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man boast"
Romans 6:3-4 "3 Know ye not, that so many of us
as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also walk in newness of life"
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Water. This baptism is spiritual; there is nothing physical, and if you do not understand or
cannot see this truth, pray that you see the light of God's elect.
Baptism = 1)
immersion, submersion.
Baptize = 1) to dip repeatedly, to immerse, to submerge (of vessels
sunk) 2) to cleanse by dipping or submerging, to wash, to make clean with water, to wash one's self, bathe
3) to overwhelm.
Walk in newness of life = God's elect/chosen people understand and trust
that God is in control and everything is his will.
Psalm 36:9 "For with thee the fountain
of life: in thy light shall we see light"
Colossians 2:11-15 "11 In whom also ye are circumcised with
the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:12 Buried
with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the
dead.13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having
forgiven you all trespasses;14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and
took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;15 having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it"
1 Peter 3:18-22 "18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just
for the unjust, that he bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:19 By which also he
went and preached unto the spirits in prison;20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited
in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.21 The like figure
whereunto baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience
toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities
and powers being made subject unto him"
Verse 21 "baptism doth also now save us (not putting away
of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God)" The baptism with the Holy Ghost is what saves
God's elect, but it does not make better in the flesh. yes, sin does not have dominion over me; and only the spiritual baptism
gives God's chosen people an answer of good conscience toward God. I trust that Jesus Christ died for all my sins and rose
again from the dead for the justification of my soul; this is a good conscience toward God!
Romans 7:24-25
"24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our
Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin"
Psalm 40:4 "Blessed
that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies"
Psalm
84:11-12 "11 For the LORD God a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good will he withhold from them
that walk uprightly.12 O LORD of hosts, blessed the man that trusteth in thee"
Mark 16:16 "He that believeth
and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"
Remember,
the baptism that saves is the baptism with the Holy ghost, and how do I know I have been baptized with the Holy Ghost?
Answer: I trust in Christ alone for the salvation of my soul, I look to Him all the time.
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you"
John 15:26 "But when the Comforter
is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify
of me"
John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they
which testify of me"
me = the Lord Jesus Christ, the water of life.
John 16:13-14 "13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and
shall shew unto you"
John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"
PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
