workers of iniquity

Iniquity = violence against God

What is iniquity?

Isaiah 59:1-8 "1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear.3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.4 None calleth for justice, nor pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works, works of iniquity, and the act of violence in their hands.7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts, thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction in their paths.8 The way of peace they know not; and no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace"

Verse 7 "their thoughts, thoughts of iniquity"  if I believe a lie to be the truth about God, that is iniquity. Let me give you some teachings: Freewill of man doctrine teaches that the Lord Jesus Christ died for everybody; now is up to man to make a decision to believe. Multitudes will end in the lake of fire because they did not believe in Christ; but Christ paid for all their sins, except for the sin of unbelief, and that is why they are condemned. So man makes the last decision to be saved, this gives man the glory for what he has done, man has something to boast about over those that are condemned. But they do not understand Ephesians 2:8-9 "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man boast" If man has the last word or decision in Salvation, that is a work. See, their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity.

Now, there are others that teach that Salvation is all of God, and if I have received this Salvation, now I have to do physical works (physical water baptism, give money and physical communion) to show that I got this Salvation. Now, if I do not do these physical works (that according to them are commands from the Lord Jesus Christ) I am not a child of God; so we go back to works: "their thoughts, thoughts of iniquity" But my Lord Jesus Christ brought Salvation to my soul, speaking to my soul Psalm 103:12 "As far as the east is from the west, far hath he removed our transgressions from us" The "us" are His chosen people.

Isaiah 38:17 "Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast loved my soul from the pit of corruption: thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back"

Jeremiah 31:3 "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me: Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee"

Hebrews 8:10-12 "10 For this the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more"

verse 11 "for all shall know me" these "all" are His chosen people. Many people know (just knowledge) of the word of God; but do not know the God of the Bible.

Hebrews 10:14-17 "14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.15 the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,16 This the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more"

Romans 8:14-17 "14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with, that we be also glorified together"

All I see is that God's salvation is a free gift and there is nothing I can change. Why did I recieve God's free gift? Well, He chose me from before the foundation of the world to trust in Christ alone for the salvation of my soul. All I can sing is: PRAISE THE LORD! He has done it all!

Psalm 92:5-8 "5 O LORD, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are very deep.6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; that they shall be destroyed for ever:8 But thou, LORD, high for evermore"

Psalm 36:2 "For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful"

Freewill of man doctrine believers do flatter themselves when they say "I made the decision or I accepted Christ" If you believe man has the last word in Salvation or must do something to show Salvation, you are a worker of iniquity.

Ephesians 1:3-6 "3 Blessed the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly in Christ:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we be holy and without blame before him in love:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved"

Verse 6 last part "He hath made us accepted in the beloved" God has accepted His people in Christ; so Why the workers of iniquity teach that man has to accept Christ? Because their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity or violence against God.

Psalm 11:5 "The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth"

Matthew 7:21-23 "21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"

Luke 13:22-27 "22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are. 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all workers of iniquity"

Verse 24 "strive to enter in at the strait gate" This Gate is the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting in Him alone!

Matthew 7:13-14 "13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide the gate, and broad the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:14 Because strait the gate, and narrow the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it"

The wide gate and broad way = Babylon (confusion) Today's Christianity and its salvation by works.

John 10 7-10 "7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they (might) have life, and that they (might) have more abundantly"

I like to give you a pearl, the word "might" in John 10:10 is not in the original (all New Testament) that means there is no might nor could happen for God's chosen people; I have life and is more abundantly in trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. The word might has been added, check it out and do not read it when you find it; but when "might" means power it is in the original.

II Timothy 2:19 "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity"

Depart from iniquity = Stop believing that the Salvation of the soul is Christ plus physical works.

Hebrews 1:8-9 "8 But unto the Son, Thy throne, O God, for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness, the sceptre of thy kingdom.9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows"

Psalm 118:19-21 "19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, I will praise the LORD:20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation"

                                     PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
