Matthew 22:14 "For many are called, but few chosen"
Matthew 13:10-16 "10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?11 He answered
and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.12
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken
away even that he hath.13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither
do they understand.14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not
understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and ears are dull of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they see with eyes, and hear with ears, and understand with heart,
and be converted, and I heal them.16 But blessed your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear"
Verse
12 "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given" Hath what? SALVATION and he shall have more abundance.
Isaiah
12:3 "with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of Salvation"
"but whosoever
hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath" whosoever hath not SALVATION from him shall be taken away even
that he hath. He hath KNOWLEDGE of the Word of God. Remember the ten Virgins, they all had lamps; the lamp is the Word of
God; but to have KNOWLEDGE of the Word of God does not mean that person has Christ (recieved Salvation) in the heart.
Matthew 13:34-36 "34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake
he not unto them:35 That it be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will
utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went
into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field"
Many are called to hear the word of God, but few chosen to see with spiritual eyes and hear with spiritual ears and to understand
with the heart and be converted. The Lord Jesus Christ is in control of Salvation, multitudes do not understand this, but
to His people this mystery is made known "Salvation is of the Lord"
Proverbs 20:12 "The
hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them"
1 Corinthians 1:26-29
"26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, 27
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, and
things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:29 That no flesh glory in his presence"
Acts 13:46-48
"46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God first have been spoken to you:
but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.47 For so hath
the Lord commanded us, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal
life believed"
Verse 48, last part "and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed"
well, it is the same today; only those that have been ordained to eternal life will believe God's Salvation, everybody else
will believe a lie (freewill of man doctrine)
Acts 16:13-14 "13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city
by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted. 14 And a certain
woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard, whose heart the Lord opened,
that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought
[us], saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide. And she constrained us"
I pray that you see and hear the spiritual truth of this passage: verse 13 says that were women there; verse 14: the Lord
Jesus opened the heart of one woman, Lydia. Do you see it? God is in control. Verse 15: she was baptized; this baptism is
the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The Lord opened her heart to attend unto the things which were spoken of Paul, and what are
these things?
1 Timothy 1:15 "This a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief"
Galatians 6:14 "But God forbid that I glory, save in the cross
of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world"
1 Corinthians 1:17 "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach
the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be made of none effect"
God
baptizes His people (brings Salvation to their souls) I am not here to know who is baptized (saved) but to bring the truth
of His Salvation.
1 Corinthians 2:2 "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ,
and him crucified"
Matthew 3:11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that
cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and fire"
Mark 1:8 "I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you
with the Holy Ghost"
luke 3:16 "John
answered, saying unto all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh,
the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy
Ghost and with fire"
John 1:33 "And I knew him not: but he that sent
me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending,
and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost"
Many are called and are baptized in physical water, but few are chosen and are baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Luke 17:11-19 "11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst
of Samaria and Galilee.12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar
off:13 And they lifted up voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.14 And when he saw, he said unto them, Go shew
yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed.15 And one of them, when he saw that
he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,16 And fell down on face at his feet, giving him thanks: and
he was a Samaritan.17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?18 There are not found
that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee
whole"
This stranger, a Samaritan turned back to glorify God because he was an elect/chosen
of God from before the foundation of the world; his faith was a gift of God. A spiritual work was done in him, he was healed
in his soul [recieved Salvation] his steps were ordered that he turned back for a good work: to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving.
Ephesians
1:3-6 "3 Blessed the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
in Christ:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we be holy and without blame before
him in love:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure
of his will,6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved"
Ephesians
2:8-10 "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any
man boast.10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we walk
in them"
Psalm 107:22 "And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and
declare his works with rejoicing"
Psalm 116:17 "I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD"
Amos 4:5 "And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving
with leaven, and proclaim [and] publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD
Jonas
2:9 "But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay that I have vowed: Salvation [is] of the LORD"
Hosea 10:12-13 "12
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for time to seek the LORD, till he come and
rain righteousness upon you.13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because
thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men"
Multitudes are holding to this freewill of
man doctrine; trusting in their own doings.
Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD
with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding"
Psalm 105:41-43 "41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry
places a river.42 For he remembered his holy promise, Abraham his servant.43 And he brought forth his people with joy, his
chosen with gladness"
If you are trusting in doings or have done, pray this: Psalm 109:26
"Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy"
Ye are my
witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen.
A chosen
child of God trust in christ alone for the Salvation of the soul.
The LORD is good, a strong
hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal: The
Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
