"lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"
Psalm 140:1-3 "1 Deliver
me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;2 Which imagine mischiefs in heart; continually are they gathered
together war.3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison under their lips. Selah"
Lead
us not into temptation = not to trust in man's salvation, a salvation by works.
Evil/violent man = Freewill of
man doctrine teachers
Isaiah 45:5-7 "5 I the LORD, and none else, no God beside me:
I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:6 That they know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that none beside
me. I the LORD, and none else.7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these"
Mathew 6:22-23 "22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be
full of light.23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee
be darkness, how great that darkness!"
To have a "SINGLE EYE" is to see spiritual things out
the word of God.
Water = Jesus. Bread (food) = Jesus, and many more spiritual truths.
To have an
"EVIL EYE" is to see and teach physical things out the word of God (physical water baptism, physical tithing, physical
communion, physical healing, and physical prosperity) An evil eye cannot see the true Christ, but a false Christ begging man
to let him come in his heart; a god waiting to see what mankind is going to do next in order to work out his plan.
Luke 11:34-36 "34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full
of light; but when is evil, thy body also full of darkness.35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.36
If thy whole body therefore full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining
of a candle doth give thee light"
John 3:19-21 "19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into
the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.20 For every one that doeth evil hateth
the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds be reproved.21 but he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his
deeds be made manifest, that they are wrought in God"
John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life"
To
follow the Lord Jesus Christ is to trust in Him alone for the Salvation of my soul and to declare what He has done on the
cross for my soul.
Psalm 21:1 "The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and
in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!"
John 12:46-47 "46 I am
come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me abide not in darkness.47 And if any man hear my words, and believe
not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world"
Mark 7:20-23 "20 And
he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil
thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy,
pride, foolishness:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man"
Proverbs 28:22 "He
that hasteth to be rich, an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him"
1 Timothy 6:9-10
"9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in
destruction and perdition.10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred
from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows"
Isaiah 5:20-23 "20 Woe unto them that
call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for
bitter!21 Woe unto wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!22 Woe unto mighty to drink wine, and men of strength
to mingle strong drink:23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!"
2 Timothy 3:12-13 "12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.13 But evil
men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived"
Godly = faithful,
kind, godly, holy one, saint, pious.
Psalm 12:1 "Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful
fail from among the children of men"
The faithful fail = too many false teachers nowadays
(freewill of man doctrine believers) and very few trust in God's salvation.
Jeremiah 5:26-29 "26 For
among my people are found wicked: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.27 As a cage is
full of birds, so their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.28 They are waxen fat, they
shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper;
and the right of the needy do they not judge.29 Shall I not visit for these? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged
on such a nation as this?"
Proverbs 28:20 "A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh
haste to be rich shall not be innocent"
A faithful man = abound with spiritual blessings
and proclaims the salvation of chosen sinners in Christ alone.
Proverbs 10:6 "Blessings upon the head
of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked"
Ephesians 1:3-6 "3 Blessed the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly in Christ:4 According as he hath chosen
us in him before the foundation of the world, that we be holy and without blame before him in love:5 Having predestinated
us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,6 To the praise of
the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved"
Verse 5: "adoption
of children" In adoption: who makes the decision? The parents do; so, why false teachers say: man got to make the
decision for salvation?
Verse 6: "accepted in the beloved" false teachers (freewill of
man doctrine) say: man got to accept Christ, but the scriptures say: God has accepted me in Christ through the shedding of
blood.
1 Timothy 6:3-8 "3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words,
the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but
doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,5 Perverse disputings
of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.6 But godliness
with contentment is great gain.7 For we brought nothing into world, certain we can carry nothing out.8 And having food and
raiment let us be therewith content"
Psalm 4:3 "But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly
for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him"
Psalm 32:5-7 "5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee,
and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity
of my sin. Selah.6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou be found: surely in the floods
of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.7 Thou my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt
compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah"
Isaiah 13:9-11 "9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh,
cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.10 For
the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth,
and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.11And I will punish the world for evil, and the wicked for their iniquity;
and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible"
Isaiah
32:1-8 "1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.2 And a man shall be as an
hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock
in a weary land.3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.4 The heart
also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.5 The vile person
shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said bountiful.6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will
work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will
cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.7 The instruments also of the churl evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the
poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things
shall he stand"
churl = scoundrel
Proverbs 15:30 "The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart:
a good report maketh the bones fat"
Is the Lord Jesus Christ the light of your life?
He is
my light to the praise of His glory.
PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
